Living with HIV can be a lonely and fragile experience

We did not have much work, we felt there was no hope. We were lost, doing nothing, struggling and feeling confused all of the time.

– Purna and Sita

For Purna and Sita, things changed when a friend told Sita about MAI partner UMN’s life-changing support.

They learned more about HIV and how to manage their health. They also received education materials for their three children, and loans to buy goats, chickens and turkeys to rear, which now provide them with a regular income.

This money makes all the difference: now they are eating well, have improved their living conditions and can afford transport costs to clinic appointments.
