Your time, skills and energy could be a real boost to MAI’s small UK-based team – whether you can offer a couple of hours a month, or you’re looking for a full-time volunteer role. In return, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that you’re playing a key role in supporting our amazing partners.

Or perhaps you’re interested in seeing this work for yourself? When we begin a new partnership with an NGO, we don’t just provide funding. We commit to finding volunteers who can help our partners achieve their goals.

Chinchpada Christian Hospital seeks to be a centre of excellence in secondary level clinical care in the disciplines of anaesthesia, medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obs and gynae, orthopaedics and nursing. They need short (a few weeks), medium (a few months), and long term volunteers in all these areas so that these services can be developed.

Departments including administration, maintenance and IT would also welcome help from people with skills including plumbing, carpentry, finance, biomedical engineering and the maintenance of software and hardware.

Our partner in South Africa is looking for volunteer nurses and doctors from a variety of disciplines and with a range of experience. If you’re qualified and available to volunteer for between two weeks and twelve months we’d love to talk to you.

They are also seeking volunteer teachers, childminders, builders and entrepreneurs skilled at evaluating social enterprise ideas.
