Always treated well
Would you want to be treated by a doctor who was ‘rude and scary’?
This is how one patient described the medical officers they had been to see before coming to Martha Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC). But here, patients are treated with kindness and dignity.
Jackline, who gave birth to her two children at Martha PHCC, explained that she appreciated the midwives who were ‘very humble and friendly’. Another patient, Rose, shared that she brings all her children here because she is ‘always treated well’.
It makes all the difference that many of those working in the clinic are not simply trying to treat patients, but are also showing God’s love through their care.
MAI is able to contribute towards the running of the Martha PHCC thanks to the support of people like you.
In 2023, the Martha PHCC cared for 23,759 patients, including:
- 2,234 children under 5
- 204 birthing mothers and their babies
- Giving 2,434 eye tests
- Vaccinating 2,878 children
Kejo Keji Romogi PHCC update
MAI supporters funded the building of the Diocese of Kejo Keji Romogi PHCC. But two weeks before it was due to open in 2017, a violent insurgency forced the community to flee to Uganda. Now, many are returning home, and we are hopeful that the clinic will be able to open next year. Please keep this clinic and the surrounding community in your prayers.
