Pastor Gcabashe was delighted with the warm welcome and generous response from people during his recent visit to the UK which ended on Sunday 11 May. The tour took in three weekends and was focused on raising the balance of £22,000 needed to complete the building of the £102,000 Clinic in his rural valley of Embo.
Besides developing a taste for hot chocolate, he spoke to diverse audiences from a private meeting with one person to a packed out Barn Dance in Purley on Thames. He tasted Yorkshire tea and hospitality in Kirkby Lonsdale and made a fleeting visit to Lancastrian Fleetwood! Leonard spoke movingly at several church services and delighted those who came to the more informal evenings.
Money is still coming in following the successful series of events. Next week, the website will feature news of building progress.
