The church healthcare work is making a big impact in the predominantly Zulu community where HIV has been at an alarmingly high level. MAI have enabled the church to impact many lives by funding a caregiving team bringing education and palliative care to many homes in the valley of Embo. After a volunteer team visit in 2011, MAI provided the church with the means to build a much needed Clinic in the community with running costs met by the Health Authority.
Now, regulations require separate consultation rooms and toilets for TB patients. So MAI has invited Leonard to come once more to tell the amazing tale of transformation with as many as 3,000 treatments through the Clinic each month now! This remarkable story deserves to be heard and enabled to flourish in future.
