On 25th September, Bishop Elias Taban received a Clinton Global Citizenship Award. He was one of only seven people so honoured; others included Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani girl shot by the Taliban, and Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York.

Ex-President Clinton chooses the honorees “based on their innovative and effective approaches to making positive global change, and on their work’s potential for scalable growth and sustainability. They are leaders whose efforts transcend borders, change lives, and set an example for us all.”
